What we believe.

bible.

We believe Scripture, both the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by God and is the revelation of God to man. The Bible is infallible and without error in its original writings and instructs us in how a Christian should live. We believe that the Bible is authoritative in all that it teaches, is to be obeyed in all that it requires, and is to be trusted in all that it promises.
2 Timothy 3:15-17 ~ 1 Thessalonians 2:13 ~ 2 Peter 1:21 ~ John 5:39; 16:13-15 ~ Romans 15:4

GOD.

We believe God is eternally existent and is the Creator of heaven and earth. God exists in a unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, known to us as the Trinity. We believe all members of the Trinity equally possess all attributes of Deity. God is loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, trustworthy, and perfectly holy.
Deuteronomy 6:4 ~ Isaiah 43:10,11 ~ Matthew 28:19 ~ Luke 3:22

Jesus.

We believe Jesus is God incarnate and is “Immanuel” - God with us. We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man and is one Person with two natures. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, and atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. We believe that He arose from the dead after three days, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
Matthew 1:21-23 ~ 1 John 4:10 ~ 1 John 4:14 ~ Hebrews 12:2

HOLY SPIRIT.

We believe the Holy Spirit assures us of our relationship with Christ and is the Giver of spiritual gifts. He guides believers into all truth, and glorifies and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, regenerates sinners, and by Him they are brought into union with Christ. The Holy Spirit comforts, indwells, equips, illuminates, guides, teaches, and empowers believers to live like Christ and to be obedient to His Word.
Luke 24:49 ~ Acts 1:4 ~ Acts 1:8 ~ 1 Corinthians 12:1-31

Salvation.

We believe that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in the work of Jesus Christ alone. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned by our works. Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, is the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins and salvation is only found in His atoning death and resurrection.
Ephesians 2:8-9 ~ Galatians 2:16 ~ Titus 3:5 ~ Romans 10:9-10 ~ John 14:6

humanity.

We believe that every human is uniquely created in the image of God. We believe that God created Adam and Eve, but when they sinned humanity was alienated from God. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners both by nature and by choice. It is only through God’s saving work of Jesus Christ that we can be born-again, reconciled, and renewed.
Genesis 1:27 ~ Romans 3:23 ~ Romans 5:12

the church.

We believe the church is the Body of Christ of which He is the head. The Church is comprised of those who are united through a faith in Christ, by the Holy Spirit. The Church is committed to the teachings of Christ and to obeying all of His commands. It seeks to share the Gospel with the lost while at the same time living a life that reflects and glorifies the Savior that it serves.
Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22 ~ Colossians 1:18 ~ John 17:11, 20-23

eternity.

We believe humanity was created to exist forever and will eternally exist either separated from God by sin or in union with God through Christ’s forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are literal places of eternal existence.
John 3:16, 36 ~ Romans 6:23 ~ 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13 ~ Revelation 20:15

ordinances.

We practice two ordinances [1] Water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s free gift of salvation, and [2] Communion, as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
Matthew 28:19 ~ 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

christs return.

We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of Jesus Christ. We believe that His return, at a time known only to God, is our blessed hope. The blessed hope of His return should motivate Christians to live lives dedicated to Christ by striving to be obedient to God’s Word and with an attitude of servanthood to the calling and mission of Christ.
Titus 2:13 ~ Hebrews 9:28 ~ 1 Thes 4:16-17 ~ Mark 13:32

sanctity of marriage.

We believe in God’s design for marriage. We believe marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as defined and described in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.
1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5 ~ Hebrews 13:4 ~ Genesis 2:18-25

sanctity of life.

We believe all persons are created in the image of God giving them intrinsic dignity and value regardless of ethnicity or gender. We believe in the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception, and throughout the number of days that God has intended each person to live.
Genesis 1:27 ~ Psalm 139:13-16 ~ Psalm 127:3
